HIT Grampian Dinner

As a guest of HIT Scotland’s annual fundraising event, the Grampian dinner at the Sandman hotel in Aberdeen, it was fab to hear from the guest speaker on the night the son of Sandman hotels founder, Mitch Gaglardi.

Mitch gave a wonderful and passionate account of how his father started with a small 30-bedroom motel in Canada in 1963 which grew into an international brand with over 50 hotels with more to come just 56 years later.

Mitch praised the HIT charity on the work that it did in helping support and encourage all levels of staff to strive for continuous learning and personal development. He went also on to say that he had seen the huge personal difference in staff working in the Aberdeen Sandman Hotel, who were successful in obtaining a HIT learning scholarship
