Job Description

Big changes are underway at O’Callaghan Collection.

We’ve invested a massive €30m in refurbishing our four exquisitely designed hotels in Dublin, and one in Gibraltar. Each offer top-of-the-range, 4-star accommodation and facilities to our guests. Style, luxury and comfort are our catchwords. And on the back of all this hard work, we won Best Hotel Group at the National Hospitality Awards in 2019!

As Director of Sales, you’ll be responsible for the corporate, MICE and leisure sales of our rooms, suites, meeting rooms and events. It’s not just about identifying corporate opportunities, but negotiating hard to ensure we win the best of them – particularly from North American markets!

Working alongside the wider Sales and Meeting & Events team, you’ll have key responsibility for the continued development of our already matchless reputation and brand in Dublin. That means actively promoting and selling the benefits of our stunning city locations, as well as referring leads to our international hotels. You’ll have a team of 4 supporting you to achieve our goals to outperform the market and really show the world how great we are!

We’ll give you all the tools you could ask for to grow the business across the Group. The highly visible marketing activity we’re doing at the airport and across the city will have you chomping at the bit to get started. And the product could not be stronger. Each hotel has its own individual proposition, so your target audience could take advantage of our facilities multiple times without ever having the same experience. Whilst the experience may vary from site to site, the quality of our offering does not.

Your senior level sales experience in hospitality, tourism and MICE will have given you a huge understanding of the sector. This, combined with your well-honed people skills, will help you develop and manage your team to achieve results in this fast-paced environment. An excellent relationship builder, you’ll be a negotiator of the highest calibre and will have dealt with significant budgets and forecasts. If you’ve also got knowledge of the local area and competition, and our selling points by comparison, that would be highly beneficial.

The rewards for joining us are significant. In addition to a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy excellent benefits, including free use of the gym at the Mont, free lunch, your birthday off every year, discounts for you, friends and family on our hotel rooms and in our restaurants and holidays that increase with service.

This is a rare opportunity to join a hotel Group with serious gravitas – we won Best Hotel Group at that NHA awards in 2019 – can you bring something extra to the team and keep us moving forward as the place to work in Dublin in 2020?
