The Place:

We are a leading hospitality venue in Edinburgh, known for our innovative approach and dedication to delivering exceptional experiences to our customers. As we continue to expand and grow, we are seeking a talented Financial Controller to join our dynamic team.

 

The Job:

As our Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in our business, overseeing day-to-day financial operations and collaborating closely with our Operations team. Your responsibilities will include managing payments, issuing invoices, preparing financial reports, overseeing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will also provide vital support to our Operations Director, MD and Accountants.

Key Responsibilities for this Financial Controller role will include:

  • Issuing sales orders, invoices, and managing payments
  • Creating payment schedules for suppliers and customers
  • Preparing monthly financial reports and performing account reconciliations
  • Overseeing purchase ledger functions and managing expenses
  • Providing daily cash flow management and forecasting
  • Managing payroll and completing HMRC filings
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors

 

The Person:

This Financial Controller role would suit someone looking to pick up a part time opportunity or add another contract to your portfolio. As an experienced FC you will have:

  • Proven track record in financial administration
  • Highly proficient in data entry and Excel
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero or Sage
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
