A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD & BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the floor and service in their absence. Since opening in May 2023, Palm Court, Seaforth Restaurant and The Botanic Tea Room are the places to be and to be seen! We are growing our team to meet increased guest demand. As a full service hotel there are lots of opportunities for development and growth. This is a full time role with varied shifts that may cover, breakfast, lunch, afternoon or evening service 40 hours per week. You can expect your working day to include the following.

  • Training and supervising employees to ensure that they are performing their jobs correctly and to the highest level of detail.
  • To actively inspire and lead a team to success and job satisfaction.
  • Monitoring employee productivity to ensure that goals are being met.
  • To supervise the floor staff ensuring that service is timely and that all members of the team are worknig proactively and collaboratively.
  • Maintaining sanitation standards on the premises by monitoring employee compliance with company policies regarding cleanliness.
  • Ensuring etiquette and professionalism is upheld by all.
  • Monitoring team delivery of 5* service and the creation of positive memorable experiences.
  • To anticipate guest requirements and pre-empt possible issues.
  • To provide feedback, training and development to team members.
  • Providing customer service by answering questions about menu items or suggesting items based on customer preferences.
