Main Purpose of Job

This is a proactive role working alongside the MICE (Meetings, Incentive, Conference & Events) Sales team and supporting the Corporate Sales Director. You will plan and deliver effective sales strategies to maximise revenue across all areas of the hotels with focus on the conference, events and group room segments.

Responsibilities will include;


  • To create and deliver annual sales plans in-line with business requirements to drive profitable revenue growth
  • Management of both local MICE and corporate clients – with focus on developing our Conference & Events Business
  • To manage and develop our existing relationships with both local university and government clients
  • To manage RFPs and all corporate rate agreements as assigned
  • To advise Group Sales Director and Group MICE Sales Director on sales promotions and initiatives
  • Lead projects assigned, ensuring strong management, timebound and communication is clear to ensure the success of each task
  • To identify and qualify new markets and opportunities to drive new sales revenues into hotel
  • To deliver and exceed on all KPI’s set including sales appointment targets on weekly and monthly basis
  • To complete account plans, sales trackers and appointment notes, within the appropriate databases and systems on weekly and monthly basis
  • Responsible for local partnerships, identifying, qualifying and maximising on all opportunities
  • To assist with customer complaints and comments initially and escalate where appropriate
  • To assist and add valuable insight to the Group Director of Sales and Events & Groups Manager on the completion and delivery of annual C&E Budgets
  • Ensure regular competitor analysis is conducted, documented and shared - regional focus
  • Support the Group MICE Sales Director and Corporate Sales Director, in preparing monthly Business Review Meetings
