This stylish whitewashed stone hotel is located in an attractive conservation village on the Historical Island of Islay. This boutique Hotel has 10 generous bedrooms, fine dining a la carte restaurant and a separate bar dining area. The property also hosts local musicians on a regular basis and is only a 30-minute drive for the Ferry terminal.
As the Second Chef you will be working closely alongside the Head Chef and owners to deliver a first-class product using locally sourced ingredients as much as possible. This is a small restaurant so working in conjunction is an absolute must to ensure the highest standards and continuity of service. The role will entail a few breakfast shifts but overall, will be heavily involved in producing quality food with quality ingredients.
The ideal Chef will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Chef de Partie role, possibly looking for a step up or a Sous Chef that has worked in a smaller environment. Preferably with a Rosette background but the real focus is on the fresh food offer. This is also a live-in position and would need someone that is happy to live on site, a real foody chef would love this role.
A competitive salary between £22,000 and £26,000, comes with very reasonably priced live in accommodation and a healthy share of gratuities.
