Located in a beautifully restored Victorian Grade B premises this restaurant is a stand out for all diners that return time after time.

The Job: 

You will be fully accountable for the ensuring the day to day running of the kitchen brigade, as the Sous Chef you will also be totally responsible for managing the complete day to day running of this business in the absence of the Head Chef. The new menu has recently been rolled out in this property where the key focus is on as fresh an offering as possible within this very high-volume all fresh branded establishment. A key element to this position and food offering is the consistency and high standards which must be maintained at all times.

The Person:   

Our client is looking for someone who has passion for innovative menus, an interest in food provenance, as well as a good working knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety and Allergen Legislation understanding.  Previous experience in a similar role is not essential but would be desirable as are computer skills and financial acumen, together with the ability to organise and prioritise a busy workload. Experience from a similar high volume branded fresh food establishment is again highly desirable to be considered for this position.

The Rewards: 

Our client is looking to appoint a Sous Chef on a package up to £29,000 all depending on experience and career longevity. This business sees this as a long-term appointment with good growth and career progression within this national operator for the right individual. In the quieter times over the year you will also get to work a 4-day week unless the business requirements change. Another great attribute to this position is that you get your whites laundered by the company for a weekly nominal fee, meaning no more whites on the drying rack.  The operator is also looking to expand and grow further in the future meaning opportunities will arise when working for this employer.
