20 New Bib Gourmands in Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2024: The Scottish Addition

The Michelin Guide for Great Britain & Ireland in 2024 is set to debut on 5 January. Michelin has disclosed the restaurants that will be bestowed with the Bib Gourmand Award 

The Bib Gourmand distinction is awarded to restaurants providing "excellent quality" meals at "affordable prices".

Scotland's tipo in Edinburgh was among the 20 establishments added to the list this year.

Noto and Aizle's talented team have opened Tipo, a casual eatery renowned for its assortment of smaller dishes.

British, Mediterranean, and Italian culinary influences blend harmoniously on the menu, offering guests an enjoyable and value-for-money experience.

According to Michelin, "tipo's house-made pastas, such as bigoli cacio pepe or pappardelle with crab and chilli, are designed for sharing in light, airy surroundings."

The restaurant's success is reflected in its impressive Tripadvisor rating of 4.5 out of 5.

Tipo's achievement marks the first Scottish Bib Gourmand recipient since 2022.

Other notable additions to this year's list include Manchester's Higher Ground and Lark in Bury St Edmunds, East Anglia.
