CEO of Pret a Manger, Clive Schlee, to Step Down

Tuesday, July 2, 2019

After 16 years at the café chain. Clive Schlee has made the decision to step down and retire at the end of September.  Schlee will be replaced by the group’s current chief operating officer, Pano Christou.

While Schlee was in the company, the sales grew tenfold and became a billion pound business with more than 550 sites across 9 markets.

Though he is retiring from his position, he will maintain a role within the business as a non-executive director and looks forward to seeing Pano take over as he has worked within the company for 19 years and knows Pret through and through.
