Edinburgh Airport – Another Record Month with More than 939,000 Passengers

Thursday, March 14, 2019

Numbers of passengers at Edinburgh Airport increased by 11% in February, having a helping hand from the Six Nations rugby tournament that drew fans from far and wide to the capital.  This made it the airports busiest February, seeing as last year recorded around 846,502 passengers, though the Beast from the East and the pause of the Stansted route with Ryanair negatively impacted last year’s numbers.

The outward and inward tourism in Edinburgh is as strong as ever, keeping the numbers high for Edinburgh Airport and it is said that the chief executive, Gordon Dewar is confident that there will be a continuance of flights regardless of the Brexit outcome and that passengers should plan with ease and confidence.
