Highland Coast Hotels has announced its latest acquisition, Lochardil House in Inverness, marking the company's first property within city limits

The Victorian mansion boasts 28 guest rooms, catering to various preferences from classic singles to luxurious suites.

Lochardil House also offers a dedicated event space capable of hosting up to 200 individuals, making it an ideal venue for weddings and meetings.

Guy Crawford, CEO of Highland Coast Hotels, expressed his enthusiasm for the new acquisition, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Lochardil House into our portfolio."

This expansion is expected to generate 40 new employment opportunities, further strengthening Highland Coast Hotels' commitment to community-driven hospitality.

Founded last April, this Scottish hotel group now manages seven establishments located in the northern Highlands area of Scotland. Among them are Kylesku hotel, Newton Lodge, and The Royal Golf hotel in Dornoch.

Highland Coast Hotels' acquisition comes amidst economic challenges faced by the Highland tourism and hospitality industry.

Guy Crawford emphasized, "Our investment in this property is a testament to our belief in Inverness's potential and the resilience of its economy."

Meanwhile, the ongoing debate surrounding business rates in Scotland continues, with various businesses calling for a review, including Ardtornish Hydro, a renewable energy firm facing significant rate increases.
