Tuesday, January 28, 2020

The Pompadour, located in the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh, the Caledonian, has closed its doors for the last time, after operating in the city for 95 years.

The restaurant posted the following statement across their social media accounts:

“Following careful consideration, we can confirm that we will be closing our doors for the final time after service on Sunday 26th January 2020. We are proud of the achievements and memories our team have created over the last 95 years and would like to thank all our customers and suppliers.”

The Caledonian Hotel was built by the Caledonian Railway Company in 1903 and underwent a refurbishment under Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria brand in 2012, costing at £24m.
