Patisserie Valerie App to Launch in February 2019

Thursday, December 20, 2018

After the trouble and controversy over the last few months with the bakery, former boss Paul May stepped down and is still part of the investigation in to the accounts, and Steve Francis replaced him, becoming the CEO of Patisserie Valerie.  Francis was CEO of Tulip Ltd and has had experience with restoring company value in situations quite like this, creating turnarounds and reviving businesses; more often in the food industry.

His innovative solutions have already begin, with the launch of a customer loyalty app, build by the Yoyo platform and is to be released across over 150 Patisserie Valerie sites in the UK and Ireland during February next year.  This app will enable mobile payment and will offer personalised deals and rewards for its customers, by using a ‘fully anonymised customer basket data’.  The hope is to enhance customer experience in stores and bring back a good name.

Following the accounts investigation that came around in October, the former finance director of Patisserie Holdings, Chris Marsh, is still ongoing and is subject to a criminal investigation.
