The tour operator SSP announced that the weekly turnover is about 76% lower than the previous year.

Trade is better on the continent, where weekly sales sank some 66% over the same period last year as rail traffic recovered in France and Germany.

The recent restrictions established by the prime minister on Tuesday, including directives for office associated to work from home where they can, will likely deal a further blow.

SSP group which intends to cut up to 5.000 staff in the UK after losing a huge number of its 2.800 outlets around the world in the closure of the Coronavirus business have said nearly a third of its 2.800 branches have reopened as long as passenger numbers stay low at railway stations and airports.
