Wagamama Sales Continue to Climb

In the 13 weeks to 29th September 2019, Wagamama’s have seen a turnover increase of 11% to £92.6m, which is up from £83.4m during the same time period in 2018.

The rise has been driven by the like-for-like sales growth and continuous brand expansion with two new openings and four conversions over the quarter.  The like-for-like sales have grown by 6.3%, outperforming the UK market by 5.1% and have traded ahead of the competition for over five years now.

The Restaurant Group is looking to convert two more existing sites to the Wagamama brand before 2020 and is looking to launch a spin off concept Mamago on London’s Fenchurch Street this week.
